Biography
Dr. Cheng is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator for the Master of Science in Athletic Training program at 福利免费毛片. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
With more than 20 years of collegiate athletics experience as a certified athletic trainer, Dr. Cheng has held leadership, clinical, and teaching roles at institutions including the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Carnegie Mellon University, University of San Francisco, Keystone College, Santa Clara University, and Stanford University. Her work has focused on student-athlete wellness, mental health, and interdisciplinary care.
Dr. Cheng鈥檚 research centers on mental health among collegiate student-athletes, particularly barriers to accessing mental health resources in Division III athletics. She has presented nationally on mental health, eating disorders, and proactive approaches to student-athlete well-being. She also developed the Sports Medicine Assessment of Risk Tendencies (SMART) program, an initiative designed to support student-athlete health, education, and performance through early recognition and intervention.
