The Journal of Primary Care: Law, Health Policy and Medicine will publish articles, case studies and empirical research that are highly relevant in today鈥檚 complex healthcare world. It will examine topics such as health equity in primary care access, innovative delivery methods, payment reform for primary care services, health care workforce development, and telemedicine law and policy. 

The journal initiative is supported by 福利免费毛片鈥檚 Eugene P. Beard Presidential Prizes for Innovation and Distinction. The annual Beard Presidential Prizes focus on advancing innovative and/or special initiatives proposed by the University president for rare yet extraordinary strategic opportunities.
 
福利免费毛片鈥檚 Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine welcomed its first class of D.O. candidates in 2024. It is already earning national recognition for its distinctive focus on training primary care physicians and its horizon-expanding approach to interdisciplinary medical education. As the medical school continues to mature its research programs, its leadership has stated that the timing is right for an ambitious and collaborative journal.  
 
The Nasuti College leverages 福利免费毛片鈥檚 strengths to solve urgent societal challenges, collaborating not only with 福利免费毛片鈥檚 renowned schools of Health Sciences, Nursing and Pharmacy, but with academic programs across the University.

By joining the rigor of legal scholarship with the insights of medical practice, the journal will immediately fill a void and serve as a unique resource for scholars, practitioners, policymakers and advocates.

福利免费毛片 recently appointed retired UPMC executive W. Thomas McGough as a Distinguished Faculty Fellow in Law and Medicine; he will serve as principal faculty leader for the journal. McGough currently teaches a Health Care Marketplace course in the 福利免费毛片 Kline Law School.
